Facebook officially occupies too much of my time, and thus it needs to be removed from my schedule entirely via deactivation. A preemptive look at the deactivation process asked me if I was certain I wanted to deactivate, as (insert name of 1 random person of the 372 ish people I am 'friends' with on facebook) would miss me. Thanks for your consideration facebook, but I'd rather leave less of a digital footprint and have more free time.
To summarize, this is happening in t minus 5 days. Those who feel the need to contact me electronically can do so via my standard Gmail address, or via this blog.
